In September we wrote that Fluxly was heading to Google Play and that we would link the listing from the product page as soon as it existed. It exists: [Fluxly on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.delionsoft.fluxly), free, Android, published by DELION SOFTWARE S.R.L. The link is on the Fluxly product page as well, which is where that sentence said we would put it.
What it is
A converter for the thirty seconds when you need one number: at a checkout, an exchange counter or a pricing call. Your currencies stay pinned, the numpad is built for a thumb, and the result updates as you type. Three modes cover what used to need three apps — fiat to fiat, crypto to fiat and crypto to crypto — and crypto amounts are estimated through USDT, which the app says on screen, because an estimate is only useful when you know what it rests on.
Every coin you follow has a detail screen with the current price, the 24-hour change, high, low and volume, and a chart you can read properly: candlesticks or a line, timeframes from fifteen minutes to a week, and a drag along the range to see the open, high, low and close of any period. Set your exchange fee once and every result accounts for it. Conversions you choose to save go into a history you can export; reusable currency profiles bring a set of pairs back in one tap. Nine languages, light and dark, and a home-screen widget.
What it does not do
No account and no registration. No ads. No analytics. No server of ours sits behind it — there is no backend of ours for the app to talk to, which is why there is nothing for us to collect. The amounts you enter never leave your device: rates are downloaded in bulk and every conversion is calculated on the phone.
Two public services are contacted directly from your device to fetch rates — ExchangeRate-API for currencies and Binance's public market-data endpoint for crypto — and, like any internet request, those carry your IP address to the service that answers them. We do not receive anything about you from either. The full account, including what the home-screen widget fetches and when, is in the Fluxly privacy policy, which is the authoritative text and the one the store listing points at.
Why a converter, from a company that builds other things
Fluxly is one of the products we build when we are the client. It is small enough to finish properly and specific enough to have an opinion about: an app that opens instantly, answers one question and asks nothing of you. The engineering behind it — Flutter, a chart drawn by hand rather than bought in, and a deliberate absence of a backend — is the clearest short demonstration of how we work.
